• Welcome to Third Grade: Where All the Pieces Start Coming Together!

In math, students work to achieve mastery in skill areas such as:

When you enter third grade, you become a part of a community of learners. The students are busy making inferences, questioning, clarifying, summarizing, and evaluating. In Fran Miller's room, the theme is "Hey, What's the Big Idea?" (Essential Questions for Enduring Understandings)

Do you want to develop your writing skills? Join the third grade students as they follow the writing process (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing) They are also busy utilizing the 6+1 writing traits (organization, development, sentence fluency, voice, word choice, conventions, and presentation)

Ever wonder about earth materials, the human body, or water? These are the teachers with all the information!

We have had a lot of Geo and Super Geo Sharks last school year. If you are coming to 3rd grade next year make sure you study your states and capitals so you can be a Geo Shark, too.
