"Commitment to Delawareans" Program
The University of Delaware received its charter from the State of Delaware in 1833 and was designated one of the nation's historic Land Grant colleges in 1867. UD is a state-assisted, privately governed institution which offers courses in a broad range of disciplines, including 4 associates degree programs, 130 bachelor degree programs and 43 doctoral programs through their seven colleges and in collaboration with more than 50 research centers. The goal of the UD Commitment to Delawareans Program is to prepare Delaware high school students for admission to the University of Delaware, and it includes academic, financial and rolling admission components. The UD Commitment to Delawareans is an academic roadmap that shows you the courses you must complete and the level of performance you must achieve in them if you want to be confident of gaining admission onto the Newark campus of the University of Delaware.
WESLEY COLLEGE
Founded in 1873 as a preparatory school, Wesley College is the leading private liberal arts college located in the heart of historic Dover. Affiliated with The United Methodist Church, Wesley is a comprehensive college offering 30 bachelors degree, four associates degree, and master degree programs in nursing, education, business administration and environmental science in a multi-denominational, multi-cultural campus setting.
WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY
Wilmington University is a private, non-sectarian university which offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of instructional areas. In September 2007, Wilmington College officially became a university. The name change helps to better reflect the emphasis on baccalaureate and higher degree programs that distinguish Wilmington University from other community colleges as well as effectively communicate the full commitment and mission of the University.
