Principal's Message

  • Greetings, Marshall Families!

We are so excited to serve you, your children and your families this school year! We look forward to another amazing year filled with rich experiences of learning, growth and FUN!

Last year was a successful school year for our students, teachers and families.  63% of our students met their typical growth targets on iReady Reading last year.  While 54% of our students met their typical growth targets in Math, we are excited to implement our new math curriculum, iReady Classroom, and are confident that it will have an even greater positive impact on our students' math proficiency and literacy.

With attendance, we were able to decrease our chronic absenteeism from 22% to 12.5%.   While this is a tremendous improvement, on-time arrival to school will be a focus for us this year.  Last year, we logged 2, 285 unexcused lateness to school, an average of roughly 14 late students per day.  It is imperative that students arrive on time every day.   When a student is late or absent, they are missing valuable learning and instruction.  We will start our instructional day at 8:20 am this school year.  Doors will open at 8:00 am and students are expected to be in the building by 8:15 am at the latest.

Marshall continues to be one of the top schools in the district and across the state!  This could not have been done without our amazing parents and our incredible staff!  If you are a current student/family, thank you for your support and commitment to our programs and student success.  If you are a new parent, we look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education.  Everyone, please see below for important dates and information!
