Gauger-Cobbs Middle School is dedicated to ensuring success for each of our students. Our mission is to foster strong academic achievement and enduring social and emotional growth as we challenge the unique strengths of each learner. As a Vision 2015 Network School, all GCMS students engage in evidenced-based strategies to learn, apply, and convey their understanding of academic content. As a result, our curriculum includes opportunities for both intervention and enrichment. Students are identified for intervention or enrichment based on state assessment data (DCAS) and classroom data. To support students across the entire learning spectrum, Gauger provides access to the following programs:

- AVID - Embracing WICOR which stands for Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading. WICOR is a learning model that AVID uses to help students learn at higher levels and increase rigor in the classroom.
