Christiana Viking Marching Band Rock at New Castle County Band Festival, Achieving Superior Rating for 14th Consecutive Year!
On the evening of November 9, and for the first time in the school’s history, the Christiana High School Marching Band closed out the NCC Band Festival with their best performance of the season. The band received a rating of superior, which was the highest rating given at the festival. This marks the 14th consecutive year that the CHS Marching Band has achieved a superior rating at the New Castle County Band Festival.
“I am particularly proud of this band,” said Mr. Dombchik. “We have many new members in the CHS Marching Band, so it made it even more special knowing that this band had to work really hard to pull off the level of performance they did on Saturday night. The students were really excited when they came off the field.”
The huge crowd was cheering and clapping during the encore. It is a performance that every member of the Viking Band will remember for years to come. The CHS band parents and marching staff are proud of your accomplishments. For the first time in 30 years, the CHS Marching Band will finish up their season cheering on the CHS Football team in the playoffs. Go Vikings! Congratulations on another great season!
