WHAT IS THE SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTER?
The School-Based Health Center is a private, non-profit, preventative health clinic. The School-Based Health Center staff works for Christiana Care. The center's space is provided by Newark High School and the Christina School District.
WHO CAN USE THE SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTER?
All Newark High School students that have handed in a parental consent form. It is required that the parent/guardian gives their consent for their child to be seen at the School-Based Health Center by signing the parental consent form. This is required once in the four years the student attends Newark High.
WHERE DO I GET A FORM?
Forms are also located in the School-Based Health Center, the nurses' office and the NHS main office.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The service is FREE to Newark High School students with parental consent forms on file.
DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
Yes. Students may call (302-369-1606) or stop by to make an appointment.
