Our Homework

  • In Room 328, homework is given most days Monday to Thursday.(some long term assignments will be given over long weekends or as needed.) Students will copy homework assignments from the smartboard each morning. Homework will usually be a reading/writing, spelling, science or social studies and a math assignment.

The reading/writing will usually be short stories, poems, recipes, etc. with comprehension questions. Student should be highlighting or underlining answers in the stories/texts that they read AND answer any written comprehension by restating the question. Answers MUST be complete sentences with correct grammar and punctuation.

Math homework will focus on what is being taught in the classroom. Your child will use the homework to reinforce the skills taught in the classroom or to practice previously taught skills. Please make sure that the math work is clearly shown and labeled correctly. Written answers should also be in complete sentences.

Friday assignments include practicing oral reading for fluency and expression as well as practicing math facts of all types. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Please feel free to call, email, or put a note in the agenda if you have any questions.
