Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Andrea Margerison. I am a teacher here at Brookside Elementary School, where we always strive to do our Brookside B.E.S.T . (Be Responsible, Express Kindness, Show Respect and Try Your Best!)

 

I have been teaching in the Christina School District since December 2001. It was always my dream to be a teacher. I graduated from Wilmington College (now Wilmington University) in January 2002. I was hired out of my student teaching to be a teacher at Bayard Elementary School and after several years there I went on to teach at Elbert-Palmer Elementary School. I taught Kindergarten in both schools as well as 3 years of Preschool. I returned to Kindergarten in the 2014-2015 school year and at that time moved to Brookside ES. It has been a true pleasure getting to meet so many new families and I look forward to working with you and your child. While in school, the students are exposed to a curriculum that supports the Common Core State Standards. If you have any questions about the curriculum, please feel free to contact me.

It is my goal to work together to support your child in the classroom. I encourage you ask questions or schedule conferences, as needed, as well as see the weekly newsletters for the targeted skills and strategies of the week.
