2019 National ESEA Conference

In 2019, Mr. Jeffers Brown was selected as lead speaker for the conference to close the skill gap in high-poverty schools.  Mr. Brown successfully oversaw the administration of school-wide programs serving low income students and their families in a high poverty/crime area. Mr. Brown was instrumental in increasing parent engagement through collaborative and innovative efforts while increasing community school partnerships. Stubbs Elementary School (now known as Stubbs Early Education Center) has seen an increase in academic achievement and lower attendance infractions. Stubbs was one of the first schools to institute trauma-informed support groups for students and their families.
