-
The Talented and Gifted Program (TAG), formerly Advanced Academic Programs, at Christina School District includes expanded advanced academic programs in grades K-5, an advanced middle school Honors Program in grades 6-8, and increased opportunities for students to take challenging coursework and earn college credit in grades 9-12.
-
High School TAG
The Talented and Gifted program is offered at all three of our traditional high schools—Christiana High, Glasgow High, and Newark High—these programs provide a diverse array of opportunities for academically gifted individuals. Students can engage in rigorous honor programs, take advantage of dual enrollment options for college credit, and excel in Advanced Placement courses that prepare them for higher education. Our commitment is to nurture the unique talents of each student, empowering them to reach their full potential and thrive both in and out of the classroom.
-
Middle School TAG
Applicants will be selected based on their application as well as their potential for success in a rigorous academic program in grades 6-12 that will include Honors courses, pre-Advanced Placement (AP) preparation, Advanced Placement classes, and college-level coursework.
-
Elementary School TAG
At the elementary level, the focus will be on implementing lessons in critical and creative thinking for all students, identifying academically gifted students, meeting the needs of talented students, and providing expanded levels of service.
