Danelly Perez, a 106-pound wrestler from Glasgow High School, delivered a dominant performance at the Christiana High School Invitational Tournament on Saturday, making history along the way. Perez claimed first place in her weight class and broke barriers as part of the first-ever female finals matchup in a DIAA-sanctioned wrestling tournament.
Perez began her journey to the championship with an electrifying 18-14 victory over Blake Brodrick of Brandywine High School. The back-and-forth match showcased Perez's resilience and strategic wrestling under pressure, setting the tone for her remarkable day.
